When is the best time to start school trip planning?
To ensure your first preferences are held, the best flight options are booked and plenty of time to promote and gain approval we recommend trip planning 18 months or more in advance. We are there with you every step of the way.
How can I gain school student interest for viable numbers to run an Educational Adventures trip?
A successful promotion can be an information evening with a PowerPoint, a letter out to families with a flyer, an ad in the school newsletter or an email to parents. A deadline of interest and initial payment is imperative to gauge realistic interest. We will put together all your promotional material and are happy to host a promotion event at your school (subject to location).
What restrictions are there on passenger numbers?
To achieve school group pricing, a minimum of 10 school students is required. There are no restrictions on maximum numbers, we do recommend an accurate indication on numbers to ensure enough availability and the best price.
Do teachers have to pay?
Teachers can choose whether to incorporate their travel costs into the school student package or pay separately.
If a school student needs a different flight routing can they purchase a land only package?
We can tailor separate flight routing or land only packages for students who wish to continue their travels. Their package will be priced separately and is subject to the trip coordinator’s approval.
What details do I need to collect from school students?
Educational Adventures strive to make school trip coordinating as streamline and stress-free as possible. We set up google forms for all passengers to complete their details, so you don’t have to.
Do I need a visa?
We can provide relevant visa information once passport information is received. You can check the requirements on Visas Direct. Passports must have 6 months validity from the return of travel date.
What if our numbers change after we have paid a deposit?
Due to distribution of costs, packages are required to be requoted based on actual numbers if they change after a deposit has been paid.
Is there flexibility in payment deadlines?
We try to be as flexible as possible with what the school plans to promote. Take note that deadlines are subject to property and airline restrictions.
Can I replace a school student at no extra cost?
If a school student drops out, their deposits to date can be transferred to a new traveler’s spot (subject to timing). We strongly recommend traveler’s seeking adequate insurance coverage for cancellation cover.
How much spending money should I take on the trip?
We pride ourselves on our inclusions to minimize costs. Check what inclusions are in your package when determining a budget. Depending on how many souvenirs or additional snacks you wish to purchase on your trip, we recommend between $20-$50 (AUD) per day.
What do I need to pack?
Check out our recommended packing lists and talk to your school trip coordinator for any additional requirements. Keep in mind the season and climate of your travel destination.
What assistance will there be whilst travelling?
We can offer an exclusive guide to accompany you and ensure your trip runs smoothly. We also provide 24-hour emergency assistance and will touch base with you throughout your travels.

With over 20 years of trip planning experience, we use only reputable suppliers whilst adhering to government and travel regulations. As members of multiple accreditations, you are in safe hands.
